Announcement of Exclusive Drug Win

Raising Awareness of HIV Testing

For its 14th year, Walgreens and KFF’s Greater Than HIV joined forces to promote National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) on June 27. NHTD encouraged free HIV testing, promoted the benefits of treatment for those who are HIV positive, and continued to serve patients seeking to remain HIV negative (i.e. those on pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP). On June 27, select Walgreens stores served as host to free HIV testing provided by outside clinics and run by KFF. While no Walgreens pharmacists had a role in testing on NHTD, the free HIV testing clinics helped differentiate Walgreens HIV services from its competitors while building local relationships that can further our ability to serve patients.

As part of this integrated campaign, I helped draft and manage the news release process, various internal communications, and leadership communications, including social posts and campaign summary.
